Paul Allender is a British musician, best known as the former lead guitarist of metal band Cradle of Filth. He was a member of the band from 1992-1995, and then again from 2000-2014. During his time with Cradle of Filth, Allender contributed to some of the band's most acclaimed albums, including "Midian," "Nymphetamine," and "Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder."
In addition to his work with Cradle of Filth, Allender has also performed with other metal bands, such as The Blood Divine and White Empress. He has released solo material under his own name and also as "The People's Devil."
Allender is known for his intricate, technical guitar playing and his use of unconventional chord shapes and scales. He has cited musicians such as Iron Maiden's Dave Murray and Queen's Brian May as inspirations.
Outside of music, Allender is an avid collector of swords and other weaponry.
